Dental veneers are the latest trend amongst Hollywood movie stars. Why? Because they help patients achieve an absolutely dazzling and natural smile. Moreover, they are strong and highly resistant to stains and tarnishing. We are well trained with veneers and have helped a number of patients use this fantastic technology to enhance their lives for the better. Not only do we thoroughly understand the mechanics involved behind the operation, but we have a deep comprehension of the artistic aspect as well.  You will leave our offices with an absolutely stunning smile.

When do we Recommend Dental Veneers?

Our staff is carefully trained to assess your mouth to determine what solution is optimal. We generally recommend veneers to remedy the following issues: (1) discolored teeth that can result from beverages or pharmaceuticals, (2) teeth that have been worn down, (3) teeth that have been chipped or broken, (4) misaligned or irregularly shaped teeth, and (5) teeth with gaps between them.

Procedure for Dental Veneers

Veneers usually require three visits with our office. The first visit will be a basic consultation where we explain exactly what the process will entail. The second and third are to make and then insert the veneers, respectively. Depending on your particular needs, we can apply veneers to either one or multiple teeth.

First Visit: Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
When you first come in, we will need your help. Why? Because this is a collaborative effort. We want to work with your vision and expectations to create a surreal smile that matches your precise specifications. We will perform a thorough cleaning, take x-rays, and verify that dental veneers are indeed a good option for you.

Second Visit: Preparation
Your teeth will need to be prepared in order to be bonded to the dental veneers. First, our staff will remove approximately 1/2 millimeter of enamel from the surface of the tooth. This is roughly the thickness of the veneer that will later be bonded to your tooth. For patients with sensitive teeth, we are happy to provide you with a local anesthetic to make the experience as pleasant as possible.  Next, we will construct a model of your teeth. We will use this model as the framework to design your custom veneers. The veneers will generally arrive back at our office within 1-2 weeks.

Third Visit: Bonding
Before the tooth is affixed, we will carefully examine the color and shape to make sure it precisely matches the rest of your teeth. We apply a special cement to the veneer and then place it on your tooth. Finally, we use a light beam to harden the cement. And just like that, you have a dazzling, red carpet worthy smile.

Advantages of Dental Veneers

Veneers are superior to other treatments for the following reasons: (1) they appear extremely natural, (2) porcelain does not irritate the gum tissue, (3) porcelain is highly resistant to stains and discoloration, (4) the color can be precisely customized, and (5) they don’t require shaping prior to the procedure.

How Much Do Dental Veneers Cost?
